This guide explains how to update a domain registered with GoDaddy so it uses HashTech DNS.
HashTech Nameservers
- ns10.hashdns.net
- ns20.hashdns.net
Before You Start
- Make sure your domain is registered with GoDaddy.
- Confirm your website and email DNS records are already set up with HashTech.
- Changing nameservers changes where DNS is managed. Existing GoDaddy DNS records will not control the domain after the change.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your GoDaddy account.
- Open your Domain Portfolio.
- Select the domain name you want to update.
- Open DNS, then select Nameservers.
- Choose I'll use my own nameservers.
- Enter ns10.hashdns.net and ns20.hashdns.net.
- Select Save, then continue to confirm the update.
Important Notes
- GoDaddy may ask for extra identity verification if Domain Protection is enabled.
- DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours globally.
- If you use Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another email provider, make sure those DNS records exist in HashTech DNS before changing nameservers.
