This guide explains how to update a domain managed in Squarespace Domains so it uses HashTech DNS.

Before You Start
- Make sure the domain is managed in Squarespace Domains.
- Confirm your website and email DNS records are ready in HashTech DNS.
- Changing nameservers moves DNS management away from Squarespace.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your Squarespace account.
- Open your Domains dashboard.
- Click the domain name you want to update.
- Click DNS, then Domain Nameservers.
- Click Use Custom Nameservers.
- Enter ns10.hashdns.net and ns20.hashdns.net.
- Save the changes.
Important Notes
- Squarespace says custom nameservers can take up to 48 hours to start working properly.
- Squarespace DNS records will stop controlling the domain after nameservers are changed.
- If using Squarespace hosting or Google Workspace, copy required DNS records into HashTech DNS first.
