This guide explains how to update a domain registered or managed with Bluehost so it uses HashTech DNS.

HashTech Nameservers

  • ns10.hashdns.net
  • ns20.hashdns.net

Before You Start

  • Make sure the domain is managed in your Bluehost account.
  • Confirm your website and email DNS records are already set up in HashTech DNS.
  • Changing nameservers moves DNS management away from Bluehost.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
  2. Click Domains.
  3. Select the domain name you want to update.
  4. Open the Nameservers tab.
  5. Click Change Nameservers.
  6. Enter ns10.hashdns.net and ns20.hashdns.net.
  7. Click Save.

Important Notes

  • Bluehost says nameserver propagation may take 24 to 48 hours.
  • Bluehost DNS records will stop controlling the domain after nameservers are changed.
  • If the domain uses Bluehost hosting or email, copy the required DNS records into HashTech DNS first.
