This article explains an important limitation for domains registered with Cloudflare Registrar.

Short Answer

Domains registered with Cloudflare Registrar normally must use Cloudflare nameservers. This means you usually cannot replace Cloudflare nameservers with ns10.hashdns.net and ns20.hashdns.net while the domain remains registered at Cloudflare.

What You Can Do Instead

  • Keep the domain at Cloudflare and ask HashTech support to provide the DNS records you need to add inside Cloudflare.
  • Transfer the domain to another registrar that allows custom nameservers, then point the domain to HashTech DNS.

Need Help?

Contact HashTech support if your domain is at Cloudflare and you are unsure whether to update DNS records in Cloudflare or transfer the domain to another registrar.
