Fair Use Policy

Effective date: 16 May 2026

This Fair Use Policy applies to HashTech voice, SIP, hosted PBX, messaging and related call-plan services. Its purpose is to protect the quality, reliability, security and availability of our services for all customers and to ensure that included allowances and service features are used fairly and lawfully.

1. Ordinary and reasonable use

Ordinary and reasonable use means genuine business or personal communications that are consistent with the service, plan and features acquired. It does not include wholesale-style traffic, automated communications, high-volume campaign activity, resale or any use that places abnormal demand on the service unless HashTech has agreed to that use in writing.

2. Prohibited or non-ordinary use

Without prior written approval, you must not use the service for auto-dialling, predictive dialling, robocalling, bulk outbound calling campaigns, telemarketing, call centre traffic, continuous call forwarding, traffic pumping, fax broadcasting, SMS blasting, SIM boxing, service resale, transit traffic, shared use outside your organisation, attempts to bypass plan limits, fraudulent or unlawful activity, or any activity that interferes with the network or other users. You must not connect insecure, misconfigured or compromised equipment to the service.

3. Indicators of excessive or abnormal use

HashTech may investigate usage that appears inconsistent with ordinary and reasonable use. Indicators may include unusually high call volumes, repeated burst traffic, unusually short or unusually long calls, unusual destination patterns, heavy traffic to premium, international or high-risk destinations, an answer-seizure ratio below 40%, an average length of call below 15 seconds, inbound or outbound minutes materially above normal customer patterns, or activity suggesting compromised credentials, malware, fraud or network abuse.

4. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for securing your PBX, devices, portals, passwords, SIP credentials, call flows and any connected systems. You are responsible for all usage on your account, whether authorised by you or not, unless the law says otherwise. You must take reasonable steps to prevent misuse, monitor your environment and cooperate promptly with any HashTech investigation or request for information.

5. What HashTech may do

If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, or if usage presents a fraud, security or network risk, HashTech may investigate, contact you, block destinations, remove or limit features, restrict traffic, suspend outbound calling, move you to a more suitable service, require a deposit or usage controls, or suspend or cancel the affected service. Where urgent action is required to protect customers or the network, we may act immediately and without prior notice.

6. Non-standard and high-volume use

If you require contact-centre traffic, campaign traffic, reseller arrangements, SIP aggregation, wholesale traffic or any other high-volume or non-standard use, you must discuss this with HashTech before using the service so that we can offer a suitable plan or written approval where appropriate.

7. Changes to this policy

HashTech may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on our website or customer portal and will take effect when published, unless stated otherwise.

8. Contact us

If you are unsure whether your intended use is permitted, please contact HashTech before using the service.
