This guide explains how to update a domain registered with Namecheap so it uses HashTech DNS.

HashTech Nameservers

  • ns10.hashdns.net
  • ns20.hashdns.net

Before You Start

  • Make sure your domain is registered with Namecheap.
  • Confirm your website and email DNS records are already set up with HashTech.
  • Changing nameservers changes where DNS is managed for the domain.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Namecheap account.
  2. Go to Domain List.
  3. Click Manage beside the domain name.
  4. Find the Nameservers section.
  5. Select Custom DNS.
  6. Enter ns10.hashdns.net and ns20.hashdns.net.
  7. Click the green checkmark or save option to apply the change.

Important Notes

  • Namecheap says nameserver changes may take up to 24 hours, and sometimes longer.
  • Website or email may be inconsistent during propagation.
  • If email is active, confirm MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records exist in HashTech DNS first.
